Rico Bravo is known throughout the salsa community as a master salsa instructor and choreographer. He has taught and trained many championships dancers throughout his career. What sets him apart is the originality and breadth of experience he brings to choreography. He has a gift for developing routines into an elegant and exciting manifestation of the music.
Rico is also a true renaissance man. He fluently speaks 3 languages (Spanish, English, and Farsi). By the age of 10, he was national chess champion of Peru. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA in 1992 and works as an aerospace design engineer. Rico has received recognition for his contributions to the NASA space shuttle and the international space station. He is currently working on the new 787 Boeing airplane. But his real passion is salsa. Rico applies his understanding of mechanics and kinesiology to teaching salsa like no one else can. Rico doesn't teach moves. He teaches the underlying technique behind the moves in a meaningful way. He teaches dance
